FAQ
Here you can find answers to the most common questions. If you have any other concerns or need any sort of clarification, you can let me know by using Contact section.
1
Does PTS use an external POD (Print-on-Demand) service for printing and shipping?
Yes and no. PTS does use a local printing service for printing every order as soon as its received. However, it is then shipped first to PTS, where it is inspected in terms of quality, re-packed to a stronger box (if necessary), and then shipped to the client's location via selected courier service, usually the same day. While at PTS, any additional elements, like signatures, stamps and/or gift cards can be added.
Printing the canvases/posters locally and then shipping them from PTS, allows to keep the overall prices lower and helps to maintain the quality, as any issues, e.g. with the canvas, the frame, etc., can be solved much faster than if a foreign POD service should handle the manufacturing and shipment.
2
Is framing the canvas also done locally?
Yes. If you purchase the framed canvas/poster, once the print is ready, I take it to a place that professionally deals with framing art, and order the frame selected during the order. Just like with shipment, it allows me to monitor the quality and solve any issues on the spot. Framing the art adds some extra waiting time, but you will receive the "full package", artwork ready to be hanged on the wall in all its glory.
3
What materials are used for creation of the artworks?
I use a variety of professional grade papers, inks, gouache, watercolors and color pencils, from brands like Winssor & Newton, Faber-Castell, Kuretake, Talens, White Nights and Derwent. Large pieces are usually crated either on traditional hand-made paper manufactured by a 400-years-old Polish paper mill (hence, they may carry a subtle watermark in a corner), or on high-quality sheets from Fabriano.

Is it possible to commission an artwork?
Yes, I've worked as a freelance artist for almost 15 years, so I'm familiar with nearly any subject matter. However, since PTS is about fantasy/gestural art, these are the types of commissions I'm open for. Let me know a bit about what it is you're looking for, and I'm sure we can figure something out. When commissioning a piece, you will have to sign a contract and declare, whether you are interested in obtaining full rights to the artwork (it will affect the final price). Reach PTS at contact@pinktail.studio for details.
